Cool. I am going to test Cube 1.8 when time allows me.
I asked the webmaster to modify the conf file with "AllowOverride FileInfo" from the server and Bang! It solved all the problems relating URL e.g. opening an entry, paging, category link, etc. I didn't even need to set the "Use characters in the URL" options. So, for you having those problems,
If there is a way you can change webserver settings, do as much as you can, and remove as many warnings as you can during the installation period. It solves most of problems.
Regarding the
problem, I solved it by wrapping the images in a table (single cell).
Many thanks again to the developers. Thanks to you guy's great effort, I could build a blog for my project.
If you turn on the 'Send URI as UTF-8, (actually, this is default setting on IE) ' URL problem will be solved. Not sure about IIS, however if the problem lies on the web browser, you can solve it by this method.
problem happens because IE designmode forces it. We're working on the default editor, and (maybe) you'll see the new default wysiwyg editor in Cube 1.8. ^^
Okay, I don't know how but my last try worked just before I move the blog. So the original address never changed. What I did in the blog configuration;
TURN ON THIS OPTION: "Use characters in the URL (ex....)"
Just in case you have problem with %blah%blah for URL, search, etc, under English OS sever, I solved it by selecting "en" and "EUC-KR" for default language and encoding method.
My second question, on broken layouts with images and
in IE, still remains.
Another minor problem is about images and
tags added from the default WYSIWYG editor. For example, at my cover page, you will see a huge space between the image group and the youtube video only if you are using IE7 (not sure about 6 or 8), whereas the layout looks perfect in FF, Chrome and Safari.
Sorry. I don't have Korean computer. You can reply in Korean though - I can't write but read.
